Psychoanalysis
Psychoanalysis is a deeper and more intensive form of psychotherapy that aims to explore the parts of the mind that are unconscious or less well known to the patient. It focuses on internal conflicts, unfulfilled wishes, and ways of relating to others. Psychoanalysis makes use of the patient’s dreams, fantasies, and stories as well as the relationship between patient and analyst in order to explore the mind in greater depth.
Psychoanalysis requires multiple sessions per week to develop this deeper process.
